-___-

Haha.

Even Elijah went through the Kaerith Ravine.

Sitting here on my bed, I look back at how far God has brought me through my own cutting. It's been like almost 3 years since it begun. Haha.

Suddenly realise how easy it is to say "Lord! I'll walk with you all the day of my life!" at the altar.
However, when times sour, it gets tougher. All I can say is, now I am in a position I did not imagine myself to be in.

I am glad God understands. Always.

*stun* wah emo post.

Okay back to lifechurch.tv!!!

Combined in Unity

Ever wondered what it would be like today if all churches were to be united. Where disagreements over scriptural truth is eradicated, where every big church or small church supported each other and accepted each other?

Jesus prayed these verses in John 17 to God the Father.

John 17: 20 - 23

20"My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, 21that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. 22I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one: 23I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.

Jesus lifted up this prayer. How significant is this prayer? In John 17, Jesus prayed these
  • Jesus praying for Himself and the work God was going to do through Him
  • The prayer for His disciples as they are sent out into the world for the preaching of the Gospel.
  • And for all disciples to ACCEPT EACH OTHER, BE IN PERFECT UNITY.

When all churches stand as one. When all believers of the Gospel message accept each other, there is power as the world will be able to know and believe that God had sent His Son to die for them.

Perfect Unity of the Church of JESUS CHRIST is a crucial key of the REVIVAL of the world.

I know this is not easy. I tried to rationalise how to condone doctrinal differences. Alas, there will always be a 'scriptural' reason to say why we should not condone another's teaching.

When will the different denominations be able to fully accept each other? Have we been hindering the revival process? I pray this post reaches the ears and eyes of many different leaders of different denominational churches. That they may stand together in Unity. I want to see a WORLD REVIVAL.

Usher in the Victorious Living!

I live for You.

Live for Jesus, for in no other will you find acceptance and belonging.

All of my days, belongs to You.

He holds our days in His hands, to bend to break, to uphold to exalt

You draw me to your tenderness,

Whatever our days be, His heart's desire is for me.

You make me new.

He comforts and renews. Only He can.

Into the secret place I will run.

That place is where You and God are. Just two of you, by the beach, by the sunset, by the moonlight, or just by the bed, or in the park.

Where my heart can be free.

Have faith in Him, for He will deliver. We are free.

In this grace that I've found

Thank You Lord. For not forgetting me always.

Unto You

Be all glory and praise

How my heart seeks Your face

As I'm waiting on You

Only You

Are my strength and my tower

Fill my life with Your power

As I stand here in awe of You

Bertrand Learns

You know, we are called to abundant life, and indeed God has came to bring it abundantly!

One thing I have been learning: Abundance tarries at times.

Think of Hannah in 1 Samuel.

For years she was barren, without a child. Childless and being provoked by Penninah, she was desperatea and bitter, and began to lose her sense of worth and sense of competence.

Finally, she prayed that if God gave her a child, she promised God she would give the child back to God for His purposes! She prayed to teh point that Eli though she was drunk. Think about this: Year after year, she went to the temple to ask God for a child. She coud have well prayed this prayer before many times. But what was the difference now?

Answer: We know the God tests the heart. This time, Hannah's heart was different. After several years of barreness, her heart had changed such that when God saw her heart and attitude, it was a done deal. Her motives for asking for a child was now pure. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.

No longer was she asking for the wrong motives. She was no longer asking for a child because of the bitterness she felt over provocation by Penninah. No longer was she asking for a child to satisfy her self-worth.

Hannah was asking for a child for the sake of dedicating this child to God, so that she might contribute to the building of His Kingdom, His Glory.

Thing is, Hannah might had prayed that before years ago. But this time, its not just the words that God heard, but God saw her pure heart. Hannah finally realised (not just in knowledge, but in her heart) that she had to dedicate her child back to God, for His glory.

Wow. Lessons we can learn here:
1) Abundance tarries sometimes, because God wants to purify our heart. Jesus came to bring abundant life and He will fulfil His promise, for He is faithful. Yet God will cleanse and purify our motives. We can only guess what our heart is like, for our hearts are deceptive. God sees the true heart. It takes a time of barreness for the dross of our heart, which we are blinded to, to be revealed.

2) We should not judge another if we are uncomfortable with the way they worship, pray, etc. (i.e. they appear 'drunk' to you) You do not know what they had went through!

3) Our sense of worth, sense of belonging, sense of purpose and sense of competence has got to firmly set in God alone, not in abundance or blessings, not in others, not in material goods.
